A place where women are deeply cared for.
The Heart of Hounsom
At the heart of Hounsom is a simple intention: to create beautiful, deeply held experiences where women feel cared for, supported and gently reminded of their own innate capacity for healing and wellbeing.
Rather than offering isolated treatments, Hounsom brings together therapeutic bodywork, Ayurvedic wisdom and thoughtfully prepared rituals to support women through every season of life. Every experience is designed to slow the nervous system, nourish the body and create space for genuine restoration.
Whether you're navigating stress, hormonal change, postpartum recovery, grief, fatigue or simply recognising the need to pause, Hounsom offers a place where your body can soften and your mind can rest.

Ancient traditions. A modern approach.
One of the defining features of Hounsom is the care that takes place long before a treatment begins.
Following your booking, Leonie thoughtfully prepares each session using information shared in your confidential health questionnaire. Herbs are selected, oils are warmed and therapeutic elements are carefully chosen to reflect your individual needs and the season you're moving through.
No two treatments are exactly the same.
Rather than following a fixed routine, every ritual is individually prepared, allowing your experience to respond to what your body needs on the day.
The therapies offered at Hounsom are inspired by the timeless principles of Āyurveda and other traditional healing practices that recognise the body, mind and nervous system as deeply connected.
Warm herbal oils, botanical therapies, abdominal bodywork, herbal poultices, External Basti, Closing the Bones and restorative massage are thoughtfully woven together to create treatments that are both therapeutic and deeply nurturing.
While these traditions have ancient roots, every treatment is delivered with a contemporary understanding of women's health, nervous system regulation and personalised care.
Meet Leonie
Leonie Ridley is the practitioner behind Hounsom.
Based in West Wyalong, she has devoted years to studying traditional bodywork, Ayurvedic philosophy and women's wellbeing, bringing these influences together to create treatments that feel deeply personal, restorative and intentional.
Her approach is gentle, grounded and attentive. She believes that healing is rarely found in doing more, but often in creating the conditions where the body feels safe enough to rest, restore and remember its own capacity for balance.
Clients often describe feeling deeply cared for, not simply because of the treatments themselves, but because of the time, presence and genuine attention Leonie brings to every session.
