Closing of the Bones Closing of the Bones is a deeply nurturing ceremonial bodywork ritual that honours periods of profound transition. Traditionally offered during postpartum recovery, it can also provide gentle support following pregnancy loss, significant life changes, or whenever you feel called to reconnect with yourself. Using beautifully woven rebozo shawls, the body is gently rocked, stretched and wrapped in a comforting cocoon, creating a profound sense of safety, grounding and integration. Many women describe the experience as feeling deeply held, allowing both body and heart to soften and restore. Moxibustion Moxibustion is a traditional warming therapy that uses the gentle heat of burning mugwort to nourish the body's vital energy. Applied to carefully selected points or over the lower abdomen, it is traditionally used to warm the womb, encourage healthy circulation, support reproductive wellbeing and replenish depleted energy. It may be incorporated into your treatment where appropriate to support menstrual health, fertility, digestion, vitality and overall restoration.
Cancellation Policy
Every Hounsom treatment is thoughtfully prepared before your arrival, with herbs, oils and other ritual elements selected specifically for your session. Thank you for respecting the following policy. Bookings Full payment is required to secure your appointment. All bookings are non-refundable. Cancellations A minimum of 48 hours' notice is required to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments changed with less than 48 hours' notice, or missed appointments, will forfeit the full treatment fee due to the personalised preparation undertaken for each session. If you are unwell, please do not attend your appointment. Contact Leonie as soon as possible and, where circumstances allow, every effort will be made to reschedule your booking fairly. Health Information Please complete your confidential pre-treatment form before your appointment and advise Leonie of any changes to your health, including pregnancy, illness, injury, allergies or recent surgery. Treatments may be modified or declined where necessary for your safety. Arrival Please arrive 5–10 minutes early. Late arrival may reduce your treatment time. By attending your appointment, you acknowledge that your health information is accurate and consent to treatment.
